Okay, so here's the story:

I'm sleeping one day, it's probably around 2 in the afternoon, when my phone rings. I answer it, and it's my old Co-op teacher, Mr. Cloutier. I refrain from complaining about him waking me up from my peaceful sleep, and talk to him.

He tells me about this welding program he got an email about at Conestoga, and gave me a phone number to call and ask about it. Then he tells me, the bottom of the email says it's from the lady who does the Women-in-Trades at Conestoga, but he's sure it's open for anyone.

So I call them up, the whole time worried I'm making an idiot of myself, being vaginally challenged and all, but it turns out Cloutch was right.

I go to my informational session, followed by testing, and then an interview, and finally, I got this letter in the mail, spliced and with commentary in blue:

CONESTOGA

Reference: Pre-Apprenticeship Welding Program
     Conestoga College, Guelph Campus

Congratulations, you have been accepted into Conestoga College's Pre-Apprenticeship Welding Program.
Woo-Hoo! I'm In! I wonder if it had anything to do with me scoring the highest on the math portion of the tests. Prolly. Heh.
...
This program is fully funded by The Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities and, therefore, students have 100% funding for tuition costs.
W-w-what's this? Someone else is going to pay for me to go to school?? Freaking sweet.
...
Enrolled students will be provided with parking passes, text books on loan, basic writing and note taking materials, required safety helmet and gloves and a locker. Students must provide safety shoes and approved clothing for the shop (work pants, work shirt or denim clothing).
For those people who aren't bright enough to know how to buy pencils, they're also providing those too, on top of paying for my tuition. Bonus.
...
dot dot dot

So, now Im due to go back most likely whenever the Ontario colleges end their strike, and get back to work. Hopefully that's soon. But yeah, horray for me!

Don't for get to kick them when they're down.
JMan: That's the Dave I remember. Remember the time we were walking downtown, and we saw a homeless man find a quarter, and you chased him down, screaming at him to give you back your quarter, even though we both knew it wasn't your quarter? Yeah, me neither.
